US president Obama recent official visit to Africa greeted Africans with great surprise. Obama came breathing fire telling Africans to accept gay rights or it wouldn’t be business as usual. The new Pope Francis too shocked the world during his visit to South America when he seemed to be linient to gay practices saying that he held nothing against them if they still worshiped God. Isn’t it hypocrisy to condemn use of condoms but still allow gay freedom? I must say am surprised beyond belief that men of the clergy are now ready to close one eye to the practices that God abhored and destroyed Sodom n Gomorrah for to gain a popularist following among congregations.
The Church of England shocked the world when they appointed a gay leader to lead the church of God. How more disgusting will it get. Am not perfect, nor a judge to throw accusations to the gay community but I wont stand to be counted as those who failed to condemn a vice while it was taking root like a bush fire. Africa, the robbed continent is again being given conditions to legalize gay freedom or else suffer sanctions. I congratulate Uganda’s and Nigerian presidents and the people of those countries who saying a BIG NO to this. They say bad things happen because good people keep quiet as whey watch evil happen, I believe the entire continent will again stand in solidarity with the new sense of souvereignity being realized in Africa. To hell with their condemned and cursed aid.
They say love is not a crime, I agree, but if only its right. Obama and your cohorts should learn to distance their politics to the running of other nations. Seeking a popularist stand to gain votes of the people will drive them straight to hell. Clearly the west has turned away from the word of God which guides it. They go down in history as the men who cordoned evil and ungodly deeds. God never meant it to be a man-man thing or a woman-woman thing. We cannot be all blind to that fact. If they care so much for the gays, here is my 2 cents worth of thought for that, “Round them up and take them all to your god forsaken Sodom in your countries”
As Africans, we have our practices, traditions and culture and no amount of sanctions or blackmail should be allowed to erode them. We remain united in remaining as the only gay free continent.I would like to discourage the USA government from taking the line that denying gays freedom will “complicate Africas relationship” with the USA as President Obama said. Countries and Societies should relate with each other on the basis of mutual respect and independence in decision making.
“Valued relationship” cannot be sustainably maintained by one Society being subservient to another society. There are a myriad acts the societies in the West do that we frown on or even detest. We, however, never comment on those acts or make them preconditions for working with the West. Africans do not seek to impose their views on anybody. We do not want anybody to impose their views on us.The war against this vice that is homosexuality doesn’t need justification, explanation or apology.I honestly do not know why the Western society think it is morally superior and a standard bearer for everybody else to copy. If the majority of Africans are anti-homosexual and content with that status quo, then the West should not try to interfere in the affairs of that culture. The west had better learnt a way to keep their first world problems to themselves and stopped lecturing Africans like they are third class citizens.Atleast we still got some moral values left in us hence we are not interested in their experiments, next they will be telling us to accept nudes in our churches like they’ve started in theirs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
